Azienda Agricola CORTESE di Cortese & Coco is a company with almost 60 years of experience, specialized in the cultivation, production, processing of Table Olives and Extra Virgin Olive Oil “Nocellara Etnea”.

The Production Area is located in Adrano 37 km from its provincial capital Catania, an area rich in fascinating environmental resources. It rises in an internal hilly area at 560 meters above sea level, is located in the north-west of the city of Catania and south-west of “Monte Etna ” and the Simeto river. The company is located in the district “Mandropero ” on the slopes of Etna 500 meters from the famous “Ponte dei Saraceni ” along the left bank of the Simeto river. The cultivated plants, whose dual purpose variety isintended as both table and oil olives, are exclusively “Nocellara Etnea ”.

Our strength is the raw material “Olives ”, the experience handed down over the years and today's expertise with modern and safe methods, to offer our customers a natural product, guaranteeing the highest quality of the products. The olives are grown and harvested directly by the producer and other small companies in the area, after harvesting they undergo the following phases: sorting, calibration, incision or pitting, brine, fermentation, packaging. The preparation takes place by immersing them in abundant water to eliminate excess brineand packaged in different formats then seasoned with oil, spices and natural ingredients, without adding dyes and preservatives.

The “Alivi Cunzati ” (Seasoned Olives) are a typical Sicilian gastronomic recipe, they divinely accompany appetizers, aperitifs, side dishes, ideal to accompanyaged and spicy cheeses, cold cuts appetizers, to flavor vegetable dishes and sauteed vegetables or to accompany croutons with typical wines.
